Southampton Pride Boat Party 2019 – Guidelines
Entry Terms & Conditions
To ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all attendees, our entry policy is straight forward and based on a simple concept:
- You treat us with respect, and we will treat you with respect.
- Every attendee is required to present their ticket and ID upon arrival.
This year’s boat party sets off from Southampton Key at 4:00pm, so attendees should arrive in good time and be ready to start boarding from 3.30pm.
Checking in to the event this year has been made simple with the issue of e-tickets; simply present your e-ticket on arrival. You should either bring a printed copy of your ticket or display it on your phone for it to be scanned on entry.
Your ID will be used to confirm that you are the person named on your ticket.
Every ticket sold has the attendee’s name linked to it, upon entry, each ticket will allow the named attendee entry only once.
During the boarding process there is strictly no re-entry. Re-entry will be denied if you present a ticket that has already been scanned and checked in.
As this is an over 18’s event, we are operating the UK recognised challenge 25 policy; the ID presented by the ticket holder will be used for age verification when requested.
For everybody’s safety and security, entry is strictly controlled by door staff. In the event of any doubt or confusion regarding on the validity of anyone trying to gain entry, additional checks will be made before boarding is permitted.
Factors including age, conduct, wellbeing and state of mind will all be considered before allowing anyone to board. We reserve the right to refuse entry for any reason.
Boarding will commence from 3.30pm and so all attendees should arrive in advance of this time.
The Southampton Marathon is also happening on Sunday, so your travel arrangements should take this into consideration when planning your journey.
The departure time cannot be delayed under any circumstances, we will not wait for anyone.
A detailed travel guide has been provided by the ferry company as follows:
SAILING FROM TOWN QUAY – Terminal 2 – Hythe Ferry Berth
ADDRESS – Town Quay, Southampton, SO14 2AQ
Directions & Information
Blue Funnel will now be commencing all sailings from the Hythe Ferry Boarding Point at Terminal 2 in Town Quay. Please read the below for full information.
There are a few options for public parking in the Town Quay area.
The closest car parking (Car park 1) runs all along the quay directly opposite the entrance to the boarding gate but can be limited during the day although people are coming and going all the time due to the red jet service.
Please note, car park 2 in Town Quay is for permit holders only. But may be used after 7pm Monday to Friday and at weekends. Charges may apply.
Further parking can be found directly opposite Town Quay across the traffic lights, road named High Street leading into Gloucester Square car park (50 meters along on the right)
Your other parking options are the Triangle car park which is situated off West Quay road, on the same side as Town Quay. It would be an approximate 10 minutes’ walk from this car park to the terminal. This car park is a little more expensive than the other two car parks. Lastly the Mayflower car park is again on the same side of the road as Town Quay but the other side, it is pay to park and can be slightly busier in the summer. We advise having change for parking meters
COACHES can drop off about 50 meters (adjacent to Starbucks on the left-hand side) from the entrance to the Town Quay Terminal 2 building, which is situated about 100 meters further along the Town Quay road to the left. Please always be aware of the signage around you when pulling up.
BE AWARE: Waiting times for coaches is a maximum 20 minutes, check signage wherever you stop to drop off passengers or wait to pick up passengers.
Coaches can usually find parking up at either Mayflower Park or Ocean Village.
For those travelling by train into Southampton, you can use the ‘Connect’ bus which operates from the train station to Red Funnel. It will be a charge of £2
The Hythe Ferry terminal will be the boarding point for your cruise and can be found by using the official Red Jet entrance (Terminal 2) in Town Quay – Do not use the car ferry entrance.
This terminal is all fully undercover and there is a coffee shop if you do happen to arrive early but we do advise checking opening times as they can be subject to change.
Your tickets will have a Departure & Return time on them so please check this information before your cruise date so you do not spend longer than necessary waiting to board. For all future cruises, there will be a 10-minute boarding time so we suggest you ensure you are in the terminal 15 minutes before your cruise to be ready.
If you require any further information before your cruise please contact the office on 02380 223278 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
